5 of 5 Great jig head for smallies November 2, 2011

I use this jig head to fish my favorite lure which is 1/2 of a Strike King Zero stick worm.  Cut the worm in half and place on jig head with tapered end as the tail.  I've caught all types of fresh water fish from largemouth and smalllmouth bass to a 39" northern pike. Smallies just love to hit this rig.  The 1/16 oz jig head with #1 hook works best.  I typically paint the jig head black, but have caught many fish with it unpainted.  The quality of the hook is excellent with a true hookset.  You won't be disappointed with the performance of the jig head and hook.
